PEMF Therapy

Pulsed Electro-Magnetic field (PEMF) therapy is an effective drug-free solution to improve performance, relieve soreness, reduce pain & accelerate healing for horses. The therapy dramatically speeds up recovery after competition and ensure long-term wellness. It will also reduce stress and maintain your horse in top condition and in a calm, comfortable and relaxed state.

More than 30 years of scientific research, supported by the practical experience of thousands of veterinarians, equine therapists and horse owners, have proven the efficacy of PEMF therapy which accelerates healing and aids in the treatment of injuries, illness, metabolic disorders and rheumatic problems. PEMF therapy regenerates and speeds the recovery of damaged and diseased tissue, torn tendons and fractured bones. The therapy eases stiffness and deep muscle soreness, quickly relieves pain and reduces inflammation and swelling. Horses love it.

Use PEMF therapy for conditioning at the athletic event, before and after training and as a regular preventative therapy at home. PEMF therapy naturally enhances your horse’s performance and increases speed, strength, stamina and muscular suppleness. It improves circulation, increases oxygen absorption and boosts metabolism at the cellular level. By aiding the synthesis of protein in the cells, it allows the body to take advantage of all the protein available.

Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Fields have a relaxing and calming effect and can reduce the stress associated with transportation. Applied after strenuous activity and competition PEMF therapy can reduce recovery time and bring your horse back to fitness, and faster. It’s like riding a fresh horse!

Used regularly PEMF treatments maintain overall wellness, facilitating your horse’s ability to heal itself, thus fortifying its resilience to stress and strengthening its ability to respond to imbalances before they become illness or injury.

A non-invasive and drug-free solution to relieve pain, speed recovery and hasten healing, PEMF therapy improves the comfort and overall well-being of your horse, boosting performance and endurance.

PEMF therapy systems require no special training and can be used by veterinarians, trainers, breeders and individual horse owners.

Major hurdles encountered during the transportation of horses from home stables to events are those of stress and disorientation due to being in the confined space of a moving horsebox or transporter for hours at a time. The result is that more time is required at the end of the journey to allow the animal to recover. Inevitably, the stress and disorientation may affect the horse’s performance.

MagnaCares Equine has come up with a solution to this universal problem – the M.E.T.S.

During the past few months we have been running experiments using the MagnaField®  unit installed in a double horse box and set to run at 0.5Hz during the transportation period. The unit was powered using either an inverter to provide mains power or, as in the case of the test rig, a 230V 100W socket fitted as standard into the towing vehicle.

All of the test runs conducted so far have demonstrated the value of the MagnaField®. Horses travelling with an installed MagnaField® set at 0.5Hz during transportation have arrived at their destination calm, refreshed and able to perform to expected standards immediately.
