HOW PEMF THERAPY MAY IMPROVE LOWER RESPIRATORY DISEASE

Before diving into the health benefits of PEMF therapy, let’s first define lower respiratory disease. Lower respiratory disease is one of the deadliest diseases in the United States. The term denotes a vast array of conditions that affect the lower airways and the lining of the lungs. These diseases come in many forms… asthma, pneumonia, COPD, sarcoidosis, and many others.

These conditions can be triggered by various foreign invaders. For example, while COPD is mostly caused by bacteria, pneumonia could be caused by viruses and fungi. Therefore, there’s no “perfect” medication that can help with all types of lower airway disease. Each case requires a physical examination and additional medical testing.

PEMF therapy is a go-to solution for lower respiratory conditions because it helps reduce the inflammation of the lining of the lungs. During inflammation, cells become damaged and cannot function properly. This is because cells and organs have their own unique bioelectromagnetic signature. The voltage of a solid cell is around 70-110 millivolts. As inflammation occurs, that cell voltage dips under 50 millivolts or less. Once the cells dip under that level they can’t recuperate and remain dysfunctional.

PEMF could be considered a “battery charger” for cells. Research has shown that cells respond to the gentle pulses that are emitted during a session using PEMF therapy. By actuating a gentle electrical attractive current into harmed cells, PEMF treatment restores the cell to its optimal voltage. With reduced inflammation, the cells are able to function normally, which helps result in quicker tissue mending. (Simmons, 2018)

PEMF treatment also mechanically fortifies veins and bloodstream, causing the veins to pump more blood and  thus oxygen into the cells. At the same time, PEMF treatment mechanically fortifies the lymphatic vessels. Lymphatic vessels help collect waste items from the cells, resulting in a more productive cell.

Besides that, in severe cases requiring supplemental oxygen, PEMFs can fine-tune the circulatory system, allowing patients to avoid deficiency complications. Finally, PEMF therapy can be given at home. The devices that deliver low-level fields are highly portable and quite easy to operate.
